CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Message the brow specialist and see what their customer service is like.
If they take pride in their communication with clients or potential clients, that’s a great sign that they will also take pride in their work.
Ask lots of questions, don’t be afraid of “annoying” the artist; if you’re unsure about something then speak up – there is no shame in not understanding certain aspects of cosmetic tattoo – don’t forget, you’re the client, not the artist.
REVIEWS & RECOMMENDATIONS:
Read reviews they have online.
See if you have any friends who could personally recommend an artist.
Don’t be shy about asking random people who did their brows – if theirs are fabulous make sure you tell them that too! Make their day, kindness is free!
Remember, being famous on Instagram is like being rich in Monopoly – it isn’t real. Getting honest reviews from real clients is far more valuable than simply choosing a brow specialist simply because they have lots of followers.
PROOF OF THEIR WORK:
Follow their social media accounts and TAKE YOUR TIME – don’t just book because you’ve seen a couple of images you like, make sure the standard is consistent
Look at ALL of the examples of their work – do some FBI level scrolling down their feed.
Find images of their work that you particularly like so that if you decide to book, you can show them the style/colour you loved!
PRICE:
Do you moisturise your face with Vaseline? Wash your hair with hand soap? Is your make-up from your kids’ Christmas stocking? No? So why opt for a cheap set of brows? This is your face we are talking about! Make the investment. Better quality brows will need less maintenance in the long run – don’t settle for “cheap” now because later down the track you’ll end up needing removal or a cover-up and a large glass of wine to deal with the regret.
Good work ain’t cheap and cheap work ain’t good.
You get what you pay for – this directly relates to seeing the images of their work too.
Do your research. Don’t just settle for whoever you find first.
Be willing to travel – not every brow specialist or tattooist has the same skills or abilities in each city or suburb – I’ll say it again, you get what you pay for.
